I recently purchased a new mobile phone; Redmi Note 8 and to my understanding, there are few versions of Redmi Note 8 which has no call recording feature by default, including my new phone.
I’ve tried a few best call recording app for android but the recordings are unsatisfactory compared to my previous Redmi 6.
The Redmi Note 8 global version uses the Google Phone app as a call dialer by default. To enable the call recording feature in Redmi Note 8, just follow these steps.
Enable Call Recording in Redmi Note 8
You need to flash the ROM that supports call recording feature. In this case, I use the Indonesian stable ROM Android 9 version. I will not be held responsible if anything bad happened to your phone. Please proceed with caution.

Step 1: Download the Indonesian stable ROM here. The file is around 3.3Gb. Extract the file somewhere on your computer. You will need this to flash into your Redmi Note 8.
Step 2: Unlock your Redmi Note 8 using Mi Unlock Tool. Switch off your phone, press volume down and power button together to get into Fastboot. Connect your phone using USB cable to your computer and Mi Unlock should recognize your device.
Just follow the 3 steps as described in the Mi Unlock website. Sometime you will get notification error saying that you need to wait several hours before you can unlock your Redmi Note 8.
This is expected and you can use the time to do more research before unlocking your phone.
